I'm a wife to a wonderful and supportive husband, Jamie and a mom to two wonderful boys, Joshua (7 years) and Daniel (2 years) and Caroline (1 yr old). Jamie and I have always wanted to do something together that would benefit our family and allow me to stay home with our children. I have been a SAHM now for 2 years and as you'll read below - you'll see why we wanted to open Go Green Baby Co. It's been a passion of ours to work for ourselves but provide services and products to consumers that would help them, their families and the environment. Our love and passion for our family and environment morphed into Go Green Baby Co. - a retailer of affordable, fun, quality products for you and your baby!

 

We got the idea for Go Green Baby Co. because we wanted to start cloth diapering our then eight month old son. We connected with another great friend and mom, Patti and immediately realized that we needed to offer a place for other moms to connect and get excited about Cloth Diapering and other fun baby topics! When I wanted to cloth diaper Daniel, I wanted to touch and feel the diapers, see what a Pocket vs. an All-in-One diaper really was - and I couldn't! Patti was kind enough to take me on a tour of the BabyKicks facility and I fell in LOVE with the hemp prefolds and Joey Bunz! We've been cd'ing ever since!

 

We started with our online store while I was still pregnant with our youngest. Once she was here and about 6 weeks old, we decided to open up the store in Salisbury, MD. Our goal is to offer moms all across the world with a place to connect, a place to purchase fun, affordable, quality products for our precious babies and little ones and to help our environment at the same time!

 

We started this business with the hopes of providing parents with a place to purchase cloth diapers and accessories. We have grown and learned a lot since we first opened our doors. We are continually learning about what we can do to help our environment and our role as a business in the mainstream marketplace. We do this because we want to help families make the best decisions for their families, whether that's switching to cloth diapers or learning about the benefits of organic fibers and natural toys. We want you to know that as we grow and mature as a business (and as parents), we are looking to provide you with only the best possible products for you and your little ones. We search out products that are sourced from sustainable materials (like hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, etc.), that include low impact dyes, we disclose all ingredients on every page of our body care products and have listed every brand and their place of origin. We do not believe in sweatshops or the use of child labor. We do not knowingly carry any products that are against our moral & ethical beliefs. We source most products from small, independent manufacturers and look for companies that share our same moral and ethical beliefs and follow fair trade values. Manufacturers that have production overseas should have their factory fair labor certified through SA 8000 or GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standards) or at a minimum a 'Good Manufacturing Practice Statement' with photos and full description of their current workplace and compliance with laws regarding fair labor standards.  Most, if not all of our manufacturers that have factories overseas have this information listed on their website.

We strive to leave as little a footprint on our Earth as we can. We do use recycled paper to print orders and on advertising. We use recycled boxes and packing materials when shipping your orders and we contribute to CarbonFund quarterly to offset what we can't reduce. We are as carbon free as we can be!
